Surprise Dinner

Nick surprised the kids and I yesterday by making us a "surprise dinner". So very sweet and thoughtful of him! He put a lot of work into making us a very nice meal. The kids were really excited about it. I sure do have the world's best hubby!

Tinkle Tinkle Little Kate

Katie officially started potty training this week! She is doing AH-MAZING at it. She has even made it out and about for the day in underwear without any accidents! We sing her a little song each time she goes on the potty that goes, "Tinkle Tinkle little Kate, you went potty that is GREAT! She loves for us to sing it to her. She's even got hand motions! :o) We are proud of our big girl! Way to go Boots! Hard to believe we only have one kid in diapers now!!!

And now for the pictures that she will someday want to kill us for taking:

Kindergarten Celebration

Today was Abby's last day of Kindergarten. Where has the time gone? It seems just like yesterday that we were taking this picture on her first day of school.

Here it is a year later and she can read and tell time. My has she grown and learned so much this year! She seems so grown up to me these days. At her end of the year celebration she got to go up and start the program off. She was one of two kids in her class that memorized her lines. She is an actress in the making! We know she specializes in drama! :) Her class sang several songs about sea creatures since that is what they have been learning about the last month of school. Super cute! They played a slide show of pictures from the kids all year and had cake and punch for everyone. Abby's teacher Mrs. Sullivan even cried as she said goodbye to the kids. It is always evident how much she loves and cares for her students. She has all ready told us that she will be picking Andrew for her kindergarten class next year. We are very proud of Abby and can't wait to see her shine in 1st grade!

Date Day

Over the weekend Nick and I got a "date day" in Portland. I had to go to the Apple store in Portland to get my iphone battery replaced so we made a day out of it. My high school girls were so awesome to take the kids on for a full day! After the Apple store we went to the International Rose Test Garden. It was on my life list to go here. I read an article in a magazine a few years ago that said it was one of the most romantic places in the U.S. so I have always wanted to see it. We really enjoyed our time there. After we left the rose garden we headed over to the movies to see Land of the Lost and then went out to dinner at the Spaghetti Factory. We don't have one in Eugene so it was a special treat. We had such a great day together. Some day our kids will be grown and gone so we know how important it is to nurture our marriage as the kids grow. I sure do love my Hubby!

I have the best job! Look who I work for!!
