Aiden at 11 months old
Look who is 11 months old! Hard to believe Aiden is closing in on a year now! He loves the fact that he can pull himself up to stand at the couches and the coffee table now. He uses every opportunity to get his grubby little hands on everything within his reach! He is into everything these days. We really should have named him Trouble! His favorite thing to do is knock over any cup of water you leave on the coffee table and to crawl through the underside of the coffee table and end tables. It's amazing the places that kid can get! I found him wedged between the wall and the toilet the other day. He is fascinated by the toilet scrub brush and any object that will fit into his mouth. I'm telling you this kid is trying to give me a heart attack! Let's just say we always buckle him into his high chair now after he escaped from it once. He's a master at figuring out how to knock down the baby gates and make a crawl for it, and he has even managed to break 2 snow globes! I can't imagine what he has in store for us during his teen years!
Aiden loves to use the words he knows (Ma Ma, Da Da, ba ba, bye bye, Abby, all done, and up.) to express himself. He even does a few signs now like all done and more. He is such a sweet little guy. He sure loves to try to keep up with his big sisters and brothers. He does a pretty good job of it! He loves to wave hi and bye to people and is a lady killer all ready! We sure do love our little Bubba!

2010 Here We Come!
We rang in the New Year ith a party at home. He had 6 teenagers and our family to welcome in 2010. We ate pizza, played games, sang some karaoke, ate yummy snacks, played Super Mario Brothers on the Wii. and counted down to the New Year. Abby, Drew, and James all made it up until Midnight when we toasted in the New Year with sparkling apple cider. They are party animals! James was still shoving chips into his mouth at 12:30 when we told him it was time to go to bed! We are excited to see what the Lord has in store for our family this New Year!

All is Merry and Bright
On Christmas morning the kids were very excited to celebrate Jesus' Birthday! They opened their presents from us and their Grand Parents, Aunts and Uncles, and of course from Santa. It took a whole day to clean up all the mess that was made! It looked like Christmas barfed in our living room! The kids are still busy playing with all their loot!
For Christmas dinner we packed up the gang and headed over to El Terito for dinner. It was awesome to not have to cook or do dishes on Christmas. It was not awesome however, to wait for dinner for an hour with 5 crazy kids! Over all they did pretty well despite the long wait for food.
When we got home from dinner we sung Jesus Happy Birthday and ate yummy Birthday cake for dessert.
Team Askew had a wonderful Christmas this year! :)

James' Christmas Preschool Program
James' preschool class had a super cute Christmas program for their parents and familes. His class sang 4 songs and there were cookies and punch for everyone after their show. James was super cute in his little lamb hat he had made in class! Katie had a blast yelling out"James! There's James Mommy!" during the whole show. She was proud of her big bro! We are so blessed by our sweet James! It's hard to believe he is growing up so quickly!
Parables Play 2009
Last week Abby, Drew, and Aiden made their acting debuts! We have been practicing since October for a Christmas play. Abby and Drew were able to take part in the play this year! This was my 5th time co-directing and co-writing a play with my good friend Katie Leonard. It was so fun to get to have my kids be part of it this year! Abby and Drew did a great job memorizing their lines. Looks like they may have caught the acting bug! Abby was especially good at acting. She was able to put a lot of feeling into her role and did an amazing job doing more than just reading lines! Looks like all her drama finally found a place to shine! :) Aiden was especially sweet as Baby Jesus. He recieved lots of Ohhhh's and Ahhh's! I am so proud of my wonderful kids! Directing and writing are really one of my biggest highlights of each year. I was so blessed to get the time with my kids and my high school/middle school girls. We are all read looking forward to next year’s play!
