Katie Turns 3!
It's hard to believe our Katie Bear is 3! She has been so excited for her special day. Her biggest request was for a rainbow birthday cake! She couldn't wait to eat that cake! She was so happy to get some new baby dolls and a babystroller along with some other fun toys. We had her party at a pizza place with an indoor playground. The kids enjoyed running around and having some fun together. All and all Katie had a great day! We sure love our sweet funny girl! We are so very blessed to have her in our family!

Pumpkin Patch
Today we took a trip out to a pumpkin patch in Springfield. We had a cupon for a free pumpkin so we thought we would stop by and check the place out. We had fun seeing the pumpkins and gords. James fell in love with a green gourd that looks like a snake! We just had to get it for him. He carried it around on his own the whole time. There was a huge pile of hay bales the kids had fun climbing on and we couldn't resist the photo ops! There was some farm animals and wild flowers to check out. We ended the trip with a fun hay ride pulled by a tractor through the farm. The kids loved it! All along the trail the tractor followed there were pumpkins with painted faced on them. The kids would laugh so hard each time they saw one. We were beginning to wonder if a little something extra had been added to the apple cider we bought at the store there!

See an Apple, pick and Apple!
We spent some great family time picking apples at Detering Orchard in Harrisburg. The kids all grabbed a bucket and we hiked out to the apple trees and filled them up! We picked about 25 pounds of diffrent types of apples and a few Asian pears. We enjoyed some amazing apple cider and apple pie and icecream. We checked out the pumpkins and the kids hay maze. It was such a cool place! We are going to go back every year! Drew's class has a field trip out there later this month. Such a fun family day!

Awana's
Our kids joined a program at our church called Awana's. Each week they learn and memorise a scripture verse. They recite their verse for their leaders each week and get their Awana's book signed off. At the each of each section they earn a patch or a jewel on their Awana's vest. They play games and hear Bible stories and enjoy meeting new friends and getting to know them each week. The kids sure love Awana's! They constantly ask me if it's Wednesday yet so that they can go! We want to thank Grammy and Papa for being our Awana sponsors! The kids were able to get their vests, books and Bibles because of their help! We love you guys and are so very thankful for your help!
